My friend Fran (see her listing on the right–both home page and blog) sent me this one. It features Randy Newman, one of the best song-writers of the past few decades. You really should watch and listen. Don’t just listen with one ear, use both of them, then fire up the brain and think about what he sang about here.

Here’s a video which is more adult than any porn film could ever be. Do not let your children watch this one. The bad language in it is the least of the revolting things which occur here. War is Hell? If so, we better all pray for heaven. Go here to watch.

My friend Anne sent me this one. I don’t really think I need to tell you of my love for the entire Bush clan and administration, so I won’t
Go here and watch the short movie about their plans to revamp our coinage and currency system. I can hardly wait for it to happen myself, what about you?

The Campaign for Amerca’s Future has an interesting blog entry about the Republican penchant for tax cuts as the solution to every problem. Yeah, yeah, this is one of those progressive (code word for liberal!) sites, trying to solve all the world’s problems. They analyze the current call for cuts and how they would affect the coming/current/past (take your pick depending on whose views you believe) recession. I am no economist even though I took two quarters of it in college, but I believe corporate tax cuts have little to do with helping very much for the majority of the people. Of course these proposed tax cuts will help rich people, and we all know how well “trickle-down” economics works, don’t we? Yes, St. Ronnie proved that one to us once and for all. If we’re going to have a tax cut, let’s put it in the hands of those who need it NOW and will spend it NOW rather than dripping it out so it trickles down slowly. I’m not personally convinced we need one right now, but then, I’m employed and have a non-sub-prime mortgage, so I may not be the best person to offer an opinion on this matter.
For a discussion of tax cuts and spurring the economy, go here. This site is great; spend some time there!
